RICHARD PEIDRO
Bass
It's been well over 10 years since me and this dame we call
'Music' and I have been together. We've had our ups and downs, but
at the end of the day we never go to bed angry. I've spent my
entire life living in the south but playing music has afforded me
the opportunity to see a lot of new places. When I'm at home, I'm
usually playing video games. If you feel like having a bad night,
look me up and let's do this. I have a dog that is part wolf, and
the fattest cat you've probably ever seen. I've been snowboarding
once, and I broke a rib. Life's taught me many lessons, but I'd
have to say the most important would be the following: "Fool me
once, then shame on me. Fool me twice, then... well just don't fool
me!"
1. What was the single most thing that inspired you to play
music?
Before I was even born, I spent a night kicking and screaming
inside my mother's belly at a Huey Lewis & the News concert.
It's stuck with me ever since. The thing that made me want to take
music to the next level was going to my very first local show and
seeing guys I knew personally playing on stage. The very next day,
I started a band.
2. What is your favorite band and why?
If I absolutely had to pick just ONE, it would be Incubus. I get a
hard time for it but their album 'Make Yourself,' lyrically and
musically, helped shape the bulk of my adolescent years. It's one
album I can listen to and instantly be taken to another time frame
of my life.
3. What hobbies do you have when you have time away from the
band?
It goes without saying, I am the video game nerd in the band. I
will put bills off to make sure I get my yearly Live account
renewed. I also spend time with family, friends and my awesome
pets!
4. If you could only eat one food the rest of your life what
would it be?
Tacos. I would eat them the American way or the Mexican way. I
think they might even be more American to me than a hamburger!
5. What is your favorite song to listen to when nobody else is
listening - the worst 'guilty pleasure' on your iPod?
It's usually some cheesy song with mass exposure on the radio. I
think the last one was 'In My Head' by Jason Derulo. If it's a good
song who cares.
6. Money no object: if someone told you had to buy and live in 5
houses in 5 different cities, what cities would you choose?
Atlanta, GA. Sydney, Australia. Long Island, NY. San Diego, CA. And
somewhere in Europe!
7. What's the best meal you've ever eaten?
I love food so much I don't think I can narrow it down to just one.
I've never eaten at fancy restaurants or anything like that. I get
happy when I eat a bowl of cereal.
8. Which one musician - dead or alive - would you like to meet
and why?
Dimebag Darrell. He is my true guitar hero. I also feel like the
man knew how to party.
9. All-time favorite movie?
Dumb & Dumber.
10. Which of the following do you prefer:
Skiing or Beach: Skiing I guess, I’m afraid of the sun.
Sports Car or SUV: SUV. I roll hard.
Downloads or CD’s: I would rather own the album. However, I
am a fan of technology. Downloads are great for finding new
artists.
Park or Pool: Pool party!
Morning or Night: Usually Night, which then becomes morning
and I'm still awake. So technically it's...night?
Beer or Wine: Beer. We go way back and have a much more
complicated relationship.
Movie Theater or DVD’s At Home: I am a movie theater kinda
guy!
Flip-Flops or Sneakers: Sneakers for business, flops for
party.
Coffee or Tea: Tea, unless I'm doing something JRDR related
then it's coffee to make it through.
Pizza or Pasta: Pizza, with pasta on top of it.
